rPath Linux operating system - The Ingres BI Appliance isn't merely about bolting together Linux, Ingres, and Jaspersoft. Through a joint engineering effort between rPath and Ingres, only those portions of the Linux operating system needed for the Ingres Database and Jaspersoft are included, eliminating the need for a general-purpose operating system, while still providing everything needed to deliver high performance BI on any x86-based server.
