From Yahoo and Twitter to The New York Times, companies are increasingly adopting the Hadoop MapReduce framework to transform strategic decision-making and uncover unique business opportunities hidden in vast amounts of data.
Speaking about the recently announced DMExpress Hadoop Edition in an interview with IT Business Edge Network, Josh Rogers Lead Strategist for Syncsort Inc. said,
"We're proposing you can use DMX on top of Hadoop to both accelerate the framework and allow people to use a graphical user interface to build MapReduce jobs."
He also added Syncsort have been,
"..able to demonstrate from a performance perspective a 2X throughput increase based on the DMX Hadoop edition."
